About this course

Learning Outcomes By the end of this module, learners will be able to: Explain the difference between assessing curriculum coverage and assessing genuine long-term retention. Apply principles of cumulative and spaced assessment design when planning tests and quizzes across a unit or term. Analyse an existing assessment or test to determine whether it checks only recent content or also draws on earlier learning. Design a low-stakes assessment point that checks retention of prior units, not only the current one. Evaluate common misconceptions in how assessment data is used to judge curriculum quality. Design one concrete next step for strengthening assessment design in their own curriculum area.
